Foundational Beliefs
—Life is Growth, Christianity is Life

Understanding that the basis of all doctrine—our growing knowledge of God—to be “to the law and to the testimony,” Gilead Academy is built on the solid, immovable foundation of God’s word, the Bible. So, Within that context, the law and the testimony, we must not be bound by dogma or creed —our potentially restricted understanding of what man has traditionally said about God—but join our brethren of the protestant reformation by playing an active role in the restoration of Christianity’s basic truths nearly extinguished during the dark ages.

We also embrace the “Old Landmarks” of Seventh-day Adventism confirmed by founder, Ellen G. White. (CW 30)

—The Living Church

We experience the life of these fundamental truths and acknowledge the significance of the men that fearlessly lived to proclaim them. Yet, we also recognize the progressive enlightenment of the living church described in Hebrews,

Open Bible“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us ….”
Hebrews 1:1-2

As the scroll continues unrolling under the ministration of the Holy Spirit, the work initiated by Christ through the early Christian church awaits completion, thus, we cooperate with the vision found in Acts 15:16,17: “...to build again the Tabernacle of David...and set it up that the residue of men might seek after the Lord.”

Truth marches on!
