Metamorphosis
—from Association to Academy

Freely we have received, and freely we give. Developing capacities to their fullest, Gilead Academy educates students today for the world of tomorrow. Built on the solid foundation of the Bible and with a non-profit charter, we rest on God's providential care and leading. With a strong emphasis on music, health, and horticulture the Academy operates year round enabling a broad curriculum and resourceful programs. Metamorphosis continued…

What's Happening

Preparations are in full swing for our annual Passover Celebration. Golden brown crackers and personally tailored accommodations await. The todo list is shrinking yet, there’s still plenty to keep us busy as folks have already begun to arrive.

The fall and winter have brimmed with blessings. Walk-in cooler and shop renovations, kitchen and cafeteria facelifts, a wood-burning furnace system serving the central buildings, and new paved walkways for the dorm are ready. Early Christian Church History classes covered the Apostolic Church and development of the Papacy revealing key principles of truth. We're realizing the value in the counsel given to gobble up history lest we repeat it. God has blessed, as promised.

Please bring (or send) all the spring cheer you can! We need it. Temperatures are trendy well below normal and any help getting them above the expected high forties... Our warmth will have to come from within as we share in the joys of Christian fellowship, meat in due season, and an evening of music with the Northern Lights Steel Orchestra.

We long to see everyone again and will deeply miss those of you who won't be able to come. Know you are in our hearts and prayers.

Soul Refreshment

Tell your children about the miracle-working power of God. As they study the great lesson book of nature, God will impress their minds. The farmer plows his land and sows his seed, but he cannot make the seed grow. He must depend on God to do that which no human power can do. The Lord puts His vital power into the seed, causing it to spring forth into life. Under His care the germ of life breaks through the hard crust encasing it, and springs up to bear fruit. First appears the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear. As the children are told of the work that God does for the seed, they learn the secret of growth in grace.
