Metamorphosis
—from Association to Academy

Freely we have received, and freely we give. Developing capacities to their fullest, Gilead Academy educates students today for the world of tomorrow. Built on the solid foundation of the Bible and with a non-profit charter, we rest on God's providential care and leading. With a strong emphasis on music, health, and horticulture the Academy operates year round enabling a broad curriculum and resourceful programs. Metamorphosis continued…

What's Happening

Passover is just days away. Besides cooking, cleaning, constructing, and rearranging we're printing schedules, making assignments and polishing plans for the another wonderful time of fellowship and celebration.

The winter's rushed by with building on the outside and the inside. As we settle into the Administration Building and the construction that requires we have been enjoying a season of refreshing and growth with Church History and Website Development classes. And, of course, the Orchestra has new music we can't wait to share.

There are still piles of snow everywhere and temperatures seem to be remaining low the next little bit so bring your woolies, mittens and boots if you can.

Ps. 30:11,12 "Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever."

We have so much to dance about. See you soon!

Soul Refreshment

"The Christian school will not countenance anything that will in any way suggest that there is any distinction between work and education: it will steadily and uncompromisingly hold that work is education and education is work. The Christian school will not recognize the view that work is a means to an education in the sense that a person can work his way to an education, and when he has obtained his education he can consider himself above such work. The Christian school will allow that work is a means to an education only in the single sense that the work itself is education; that true education is found in the very work itself."
